The Mexican government, through the National Commission of Natural Protected Areas (CONANP), works to preserve Mexico’s most representative ecosystems and biodiversity through park passes to Protected Natural Areas (PNAs).
Protected Natural Areas of Baja California Sur:
- Islands of the Gulf of California
- Cabo San Lucas
- Bahía de Loreto
- Espíritu Santo Archipelago
- Cabo Pulmo
- Sierra de la Laguna
- Balandra
- Ojo de Liebre Lagoon Complex
- El Vizcaíno
- Pacific Islands
To access these Protected Natural Areas, you need to get park passes. Your contribution helps CONANP support the conservation of Mexico’s natural heritage.
There are two ways to access these natural areas:
- Annual Passport: This gives you unlimited access to all PNAs in Baja California Sur for a year.
- Day Bracelet: This is a personal, single-day pass, and the cost varies depending on the specific PNA you visit. These bracelets are typically available at the entrance of the PNAs, though sometimes they might not be in stock.
The prices for passports and bracelets depend on whether you are a resident, a national, or a foreign visitor.
Each PNA has its own park rangers. If you are visiting one of these areas, you might be asked to show your passport or bracelet.
If you need any assistance or have questions about the process, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We’re here to help! |
